Lenz's Law states that an induced current will always flow in a direction that opposes the change in magnetic flux that caused it. This principle is commonly demonstrated with simple experiments like dropping a magnet through a copper tube, but an MRI machine provides a much more powerful and large-scale example. MRI machines generate extremely strong magnetic fields, and any conductive material moving within that field will experience induced currents that resist motion, following Lenz’s Law. A
